To be eligible for this summer program, you must meet the following criteria:

Participants shall not contract for any form of employment while affiliated with the program.
- Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Completed Sophomore year (60 credits)
- Have NOT graduated
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4 point scale).
- Have a major relevant to HCI research. The majority of participants will have a computer-oriented major, such as Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Science. However, due to the multi-disciplinary nature of HCI research, students in fields such as cognitive or social psychology, industrial engineering and anthropology who have appropriate backgrounds and interests to contribute to HCI research should contact us (
