From 2003 to 2006 the Interactive Systems Research Center in the Information Systems Department at UMBC had a summer undergraduate research program supported by the National Sciende Foundation as part of the Research Experiences for Undergraduates program. This was a 10 week program for Human-Computer Interaction research. Students worked with faculty mentors on research projects such as computer supported cooperative work, mobile computing, E-commerce usability, speech recognition and on-line communities.
